volunteers offered their expertise last weekend and provided the Official
Data Entry for Swiftsure 2002.
Westcoastsail.com volunteers were at the Swiftsure Information Centre at Ship Point in Victoria's inner harbour entering the latest news and weather updates to the Swiftsure website and Shaw TV from the start of the race Saturday morning right through until Sunday. Westcoastsail.com also liasoned with the public as well as local media, including radio and television, providing timely information and insights for immediate broadcast.
Christopher Sartisohn, westcoastsail's President and Technical Director, pulled the night shift and stated, "Despite the light winds, the crews we talked to throughout the night were excited to hear from us at the Info Centre."
Race Centre Volunteers contacted skippers and crew throughout the race to maintain up to date information on boat positions and first hand weather forecasts.
