6th Annual Easter Seals Regatta

This year will mark the 6th Annual Easter Seals Regatta, where the Vancouver Island sailing community will raise their sails and funds for children with disabilities.

Proudly hosted by the Royal Victoria Yacht Club, this unique regatta focuses on fun both on and off the water. Everyone, including skippers, crew, volunteers and guests enjoy the colorful parade of decorated boats set against the backdrop of one of Vancouver Island's most incredible views. The HMCS Oriole along with 5 other spectator boats host special guests and children who benefit from Easter Seal services.

An exciting race for 3 racing divisions and 1 cruising division is followed by a BBQ hosted by the Keg Steakhouse and accompanied by live music that carries the celebration into the night.

In 2001, 44 skippers and their crew raised an outstanding $47,500. Funds are raised through pledges and boat sponsorship and support the specialized programs and services for children with disabilities.
