One mast stepped (set) well forward. It has one sail regardless of size.
Sometimes referred to as an una rig.
Cutter:
Similar to a sloop except sails are arranged so that many combinations
of areas may be obtained.
Ketch:
Two-masted boat where the mizzenmast stands before the helm.
Sloop:
Sailing vessel rigged with one mast and a single jib and mainsail.
Yawl:
Two-masted boat where a smaller, shorter mast, called a mizzen, is located
behind the steering mechanism, or helm.
Schooner:
First seen among 19th-century ships. It is multimasted and furls triangular
sails. The foremost mast is always shorter than the others.
